Statement from the Derbyshire and Cheshire Cricket League

The Derbyshire and Cheshire Cricket League can confirm receipt of a formal complaint relating to an allegation of cheating in a match played on Saturday 1st August 2026. The league has launched a full investigation into the alleged incidents and is being assisted by the Derbyshire Cricket Board in this investigation. The league will be making no further comment until the inquiry is complete and the league would urge all clubs to remind their members that uninformed comments are not helpful when there is an ongoing investigation.
