The junior season reaches its finale this week, and across the Derbyshire & Cheshire Cricket League our young cricketers are gearing up for one of the most exciting moments of their summer. The Junior Finals have always produced outstanding cricket, brilliant atmospheres, and memories that stay with players, coaches, and families for years. This year promises to be no different.
Below is the full rundown of fixtures as we close out the 2026 junior campaign.
U13 Finals – Monday 13th July, 6pm
U13A Final: Broadbottom vs Old Glossop
U13B Final: Dinting vs Newton
Two strong matchups featuring clubs who’ve shown consistency and quality throughout the season. Expect competitive cricket and plenty of talent on display.
U15 Finals – Wednesday 15th July, 5.30pm
U15A Final: Hayfield vs New Mills
U15B Final: Broadbottom vs Old Glossop
The U15s always bring intensity, skill, and real game awareness. These fixtures promise tight contests and some standout individual performances.
U11 Finals Day – Sunday 19th July at Chapel
A full festival of junior cricket, with three matches across the day
Semi Final 1 – 11am: Newton CC (North Division Winners) vs Hayfield B (South Division Runners‑Up)
Semi Final 2 – approx. 1.30pm: Birch Vale (South Division Winners) vs Hayfield (North Division Runners‑Up)
Final – approx. 4pm
The U11 Finals Day is always one of the highlights of the junior calendar — a brilliant mix of excitement, nerves, and pure enjoyment of the game. Chapel provides the perfect setting for families and supporters to enjoy a full day of cricket.
